Quest completed.
georg, 17:52h
It took me one year to find out how to cancel the online subscription for Everquest. I haven't got the client anymore and despite emails asking various support people - including publisher and god-knows-who-else - I never got a reply regarding my cancellation request.
But today I've stumbled - by pure accident - over the online account management facilty and there was a big red "cancel subscription" button.
Am I embarrassed?
Not really. After all it took me 800 miles of a drive with full aircon on (!) in the winter (!!) to realize how the climate control facility sucks out the petrol of my car (!!!).

white sales.
georg, 15:07h
Yesterday I wasn't entirely sure what this big fat white cloud approaching me with quite high speed was all about. I just got out the car after a enjoyable drive to Bournemouth. Nice streets, no wet conditions - just a bit of traffic congestion but driving in rush hour doesn't leave you with empty streets.
So there I was, starring at this huge white cloud, not knowning what I'm supposed to do right now and therefore decided to keep on starring.
For a split second I thought this is a miserable episode from a sci fi series where a white cloud is going to attack me because I've parked on its parking space.
But ney, before I could finish my slighlty off-beat-mainstream fantasy I was not only able to see anything except the colour white, I also was suddenly covered with snow coming from all directons supported and underlined by heavy lightning.
Okay,so I am now living in England for nearly 4 years. England, where Snow appears only every now and then. There are even English people who haven't seen snow at all and out of the sudden a normal day turns into a snowstorm, degrees falling from upper 6 Celsius to a scary -2...and all that with knowing that the British Traffic and Transport System surley isn't prepared for something this as normally 1 cm of snow is enough to screw up the traffic system for several days.
And I thought England is a save place to live.

HairOp.
georg, 14:48h
You can get a haircut as cheap as 15 pounds at Toni & Guy…at least in Farnham. I’ve just booked an appointment for Saturday. Obviously somebody who is *only* a junior and probably just finished the hair academy is going to cut my hair but hey, it is less then half the normal price!
So we shall see what is going to happen to my head. But my logical thinking drives me to the following conclusion:
a) I anyway want a normal none-of-the-fancy-stuff-bollocks haircut. So no special skills required than normal haircutting skills. Theoretically.
b) To work at toni & guy even as a Junior probably requires you to have a certain skill / art level...of course with room for improvement. But if they were shit they wouldn’t take them on in the first place.
But if I’m in the office on Monday with a bald head then my logicial thinking was entirely wrong which makes me believe that I just wrote this entry for my own self-assurance and to upper my trust in the world of scissors, fast pacing customer service and head massage.

Berliner Plain German.
georg, 15:09h
What I am going to say might potentially be complete bollocks for most people but here we go anyway:
I just love the way people from Berlin speak "plain German" / Hochdeutsch. It kicks ass!

Referer Spam.
georg, 19:29h
Hm. Idiots. And candidates for certain high profiled political posts (or should we say apparently the most important political post - at least thats the view of todays world) shouldn't jump on the wagon either and leave their fingerprint in my referer logs. Get out of there. I can't vote for you anyway because I'm not even touching the edge of your country. Thanks.

Most hated word of 2003 onwards...
georg, 18:43h
...Schedule.
Use this word too little and nobody will see the end of their chaotic misery. But use it too much and you'll create more chaos than God himself probably had in the first few hours of his creative manifesto.

English Flu.
georg, 14:27h
English Flu is like a dentist appointment. Something which is a yearly thing and you can't get away with it whatever you do.
The only difference: You can lie and tell yourself that you don't need a dentist appointment and brush your teeth like a mad fucker and it sort of works.
But the flu doesn't give a shit. It'll haunt you down at the least convenient moment and stay with you until you've done your whole swearword program and resigned to the fact that an English Flu is da motha of all biatches.

Sleep.
georg, 04:30h
Hm. I think I have to educate myself in the highly acclaimed sleeping discipline. Due various reasons I've managed at the same time to crave for sleep but not being able to fall for it.
And no, it is not an Insomnia thing, not directly.
More to do with the whole "one more" business... I want to process one more thought before I'll fall to sleep.
And on the last sentence there is my mind, stuck in a loop.
