Oscar Award For Best Special FX - but not with The Matrix.

Just read in Screen International that none of the Matrix Sequels made in into the shortlist for best SFX-Oscar. The shortlist consist of Hulk, Terminator 3, Pirates Of The Caribbean, X2, LOTR: Return Of The King, Masters & Commands and Peter Pan. The list will be used to choose the final three nominees for the award.
Now this is going to keep me going through the day with a big fat smile. It looks like the requirements for Award For Best SFX shirt more towards the none-obvious effects, the ones which are there but can't be seen - which is why the should be awarded: They have tricked the eye.
