Things I really can't deal with at the moment:

- Shitty Email Clients. And no, I'm not satisified with even one of the thousand options:
- People claiming that security belongs solely to the IT department. Normally you don't need to be an idiot to realize how you should so not open strange email attachements or download shitty stuff from the internet. Also it would help to keep your OS up-to-date. Security starts in your way of thinking.And no, cannot have a Mac I'm afraid - there are several reasons at the moment and I'm not willing to change OS because I want to read my email.
- The Bat crashes randomly.
- Thunderbird can't handle me (or at least my IMAP folders) and instead of firing a more detailed error message at me it just keeps on telling about a connection problem.
- Pegasus Email looks too scar.
- Outlook Express isn't my sort-of-thing. I'm also aiming to be a responsible person.
- Outlook non-Express also uses Internet Explorer rendering engine and may therefore lead a quite life - but not on my hard drive.
- Eudora seems to be on the edge of becoming too much featured and I'm not sure if it uses any faulty rendering engine (like IE)
- Pocomail was deinstalled within seconds - it tried to download and remove messages from my imap account. Now whats the fucking point in that? IMAP = Leave the damn fuckers there otherwise I'd use pop3 you bastard.
I also tried to not get any HTML mails more but people apparently can't just send plain emails anymore.
- "Kill Bill" being Two Volumes. I want it in ONE piece - I don't care about length! I was able to watch The Two Towers without dying for a piss.
- "Hero" with Jet Li not being shown in the U.K. for some reason nobody in this world seems to either know or be able to trace back. Lucky me that I've seen it already but it would be nice to re-experience the joy of watching it in a cinema with ice cream, popcorn and stupid adverts beforehand.

Mail.app kann ich auch noch nicht so wirklich empfehlen. Für mich reicht es zwaraus, auch mit IMAP und so, aber ich bin ja auch keine respektable Person.
Und Hero habe ich erst neulich wieder gesehen. Im Bett. Ohne Popcorn, weil das krümelt. Also auch nicht das wahre.

IMAP-Mail-Clients ist eines der wenigen Felder auf denen der Mac auch nicht besser ist als Windows. Eher schlechter.
Für Windows und IMAP bin ich mit Becky ganz zufrieden. Klein, schnell, Minimize-to-tray und mit einem anderen Iconset auch ganz nett anzusehen. Und hat das wichtigste Mail-Client-Feature: Reformat.
Mit Mozilla hatte ich auch mal Probleme mit den Connections. Das lag daran, dass immer mehrere Verbindungen zum Server aufgebaut und nicht schnell genug wieder abgebaut wurden, serverseitig aber maximal 4 pro IP zugelassen waren.

Okee.
Ich werd' mal ein bisschen mit thunderbird-settings rumspielen.
Und Becky tut nicht zufaellig IE nutzen um HTML mails darzustellen und so? (zumindest quetscht er IE rein wenns ums scheiben von selbigen geht)
Muss doch mehr als 2 menschen geben die IMAP nutzen :-)

Becky kann IE zum Anzeigen der HTML-Mails benutzen, bei mir ist das aber so eingestellt, dass die HTML-Mails in Plain-Text unmgewandelt werden.
Mit den Connections kommt es natürlich auf den Server an, das ist sicherlich nicht überall gleich. Und da der Server in dem Fall meiner war, hab ich die Verbindungen pro IP einfach mal hochgestellt und dann gings :)
